26 Şubat 2026 Perşembe

Giresun University Erasmus Coordination organized an Erasmus+ information session for the students of the Tirebolu Communication Faculty.

The session was conducted by Erasmus+ Student Mobility Officer, Lecturer Murat Yaman, on February 25, 2026, at the Merve Durmuş Lecture Hall. During the program, students were provided with detailed information on how to benefit from study abroad and internship opportunities.

In his presentation, Lecturer Murat Yaman emphasized that, following the pandemic, the Farabi and Mevlâna exchange programs had been suspended, and the only active student mobility program at present is Erasmus+. He highlighted that the Erasmus+ program offers significant opportunities for cultural interaction and professional development, particularly for Communication Faculty students.

Lecturer Yaman explained that study mobility allows students to study for one or two semesters at partner universities. He noted that the Journalism and Radio, Television, and Cinema departments of the Tirebolu Communication Faculty have an agreement with Castilla-La Mancha University in Spain, and discussions are ongoing with other universities to establish new agreements.

Addressing internship mobility, Lecturer Yaman stated that students can gain professional experience for 2 to 12 months at an institution they find independently.

Regarding application requirements, he indicated that undergraduate students must have a minimum GPA of 2.20. Students are also required to score at least 70 in the English exam conducted by the university. Selected students who meet the criteria receive financial support depending on the country they will go to.

The session, which attracted significant interest from students, concluded with a Q&A segment.
